Advarion has assembled an experienced management and implementation team. Every member of Advarion's team has had at least 8 years of experience in Internet software development for large-scale deployment at companies like Compaq Computer Corporation (now Hewlett-Packard Company), WellPoint-Blue Cross of California, Saturn Corporation, General Electric Company, and Ford Motor Company.
Norman Nolasco, President
Norman Nolasco founded Advarion Incorporated in 1997. He has specialized in leading projects requiring compressed timelines, limited budgets, and high-quality production. Advarion's consultants have the proven ability and hardware resources to complete projects deemed impossible or impractical by larger technology consulting firms. With a broad background in programming, security, medical research, government, retail, the Internet, and the energy industry, Norman uses his organizational and technical experience to ensure successful completion of Advarion projects on time and on budget.
Norman has also provided the lead for projects with Compaq Computer Corporation (now HP), Ford Motor Company, Wellpoint/Blue Cross of Califonia, Saturn Corporation, and the United States Navy. In 2002, he was awarded the Rice University Alliance Scholarship for Entrepreneurship.
Norman graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering and has published biomedical research findings in the Journal of Biological Chemistry and Blood. He is the founder of the Networked Inter-Scholastic Database (NetISD) Program which has encourages thousands of underprivileged students to acquire useful Information Technology skills.
Norman is the Internet Lead to three Houston City Council campaigns in 2003 and the Dr. Marnie Rose Foundation, a charitable organization funding brain cancer research and the Memorial Children's Hospital.
Lauren Nolasco, Vice-President
Lauren Nolasco graduated with a B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas in Austin, then won the Woodrow Wilson Fellowship in Public Policy scholarship. She completed her Masters degree in Public Policy at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
Lauren has worked on policy for organizations such as the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the CAUSE National Task Force (on privacy and security of student information in US Colleges and Universities). She was also a financial consultant for Foley's Department Stores and Program Manager for Caminus Corporation.
In addition to her duties as CFO, Lauren is an expert in HCI principals and GUI standards and the Rational Unified Process (RUP) and Rational development tools for large-scale management and control of software development design processes.
Leonard Grove, CTO
Leo Grove hold a B.S. in Physics from the University of Houston and is a Sun Certified Java 1.1 Programmer. His primary area of experience is in software and Internet security. He developed Secure Sockets Laboratories, LLC (http://www.ssl.com) and operates the Wireless Transport Link Systems (WTLS) discussion groups.
Leo has led teams for Advarion projects at Ford Motor Company, Enron, and General Electric.
